No batteries are required as the magnetic floating spacer powers the wheel's core to light up when they spin. The Glow LED roller skate wheel has a hardness of 83A. A great hybrid indoor/ outdoor wheel that works well on the sidewalks or skating rinks. Fritzy's Tip: Make sure you buy bearings to go with these ones! These are sometimes hard to put on shorter axles. It is recommended you turn your axle nut around and screw it on backwards so that your wheel stays on!
